Always looking for a new challenge, Brian Raffel was a high school art teacher and a cross country coach when he founded Raven Software with his brother Steve in the spring of 1990. Together they built their company with popular games like Black Crypt, Hexen and Heteric. Eventually Raven's team grew so talented they captured the interest of Activision - in 1997 they acquired Raven and made Brian the studio head. Under Brian's guidance, Raven continued to grow and work on bigger titles like Soldier of Fortune, Star Wars Jedi Knight 2, X-Men Legends and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Today Brian (and Raven) is enjoying unparalleled success via the Call of Duty universe by helping out on Black Ops and the most popular game ever made ... Modern Warfare 3.
An avid video game enthusiast, Brian has three awesome children (Kelson, Ashlyn and Bryce) and his beautiful wife Renee. His hobbies include hiking, running, lifting and Jiu - jitsu. He also has an obsession with the game World of WarCraft ... but he assures everyone he's got it under control.
